Bełchatów

Bełchatów is a small city in central Poland, located in the Łódź Voivodeship. It’s best known as the home of the Bełchatów Power Station, the largest coal-fired power plant in Europe. The plant is a major employer in the area, and the city’s economy is largely dependent on it. However, the plant is also a major source of air pollution, and the city has one of the highest levels of air pollution in Poland.
