Barda is an ancient city in the Republic of Azerbaijan, located in the central part of the country, on the left bank of the Kura River. The city is one of the most ancient and important cultural centers of Azerbaijan. It is located on the main road between Baku and Tbilisi. The city is also a regional center and has a population of around 158,000 people. The city is home to the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, one of the most important historical monuments in Azerbaijan.
