Arcos de Jalón is a small, but mighty, town in the province of Zaragoza, in the autonomous community of Aragon, in northeastern Spain. It is located in the valley of the Jalón River, hence the name. The town is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and for its annual wine festival, Feria de Arcos de Jalón, which takes place in the first week of September. The festival features wine tastings, a paella contest, and a parade of decorated floats. Arcos de Jalón is also home to the Museo de Arte Sacro, a museum of religious art, and the Iglesia de Santa María, a Romanesque church.
