Móstoles is a small town south of Madrid, best known for being the birthplace of Spanish Formula One driver Fernando Alonso. The town is a mix of old and new, with a traditional central square surrounded by modern buildings. There are a few interesting museums, including the Museo de la Música and the Museo de Artes y Costumbres Populares, as well as a couple of parks. The town is a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area, including the beautiful mountain ranges of the Sierra de Guadarrama and the Sierra de Gredos.
