Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India, is a city that was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. It was intended to be the capital of the Mughal Empire, but the city was abandoned after only 14 years due to a lack of water. Today, the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is still in excellent condition, with many of the original buildings still standing. The city is a popular tourist destination, as it offers a unique look into the Mughal Empire and its architecture.
