Matsuyama is a small city located in the Ehime Prefecture on the island of Shikoku, Japan. The city is best known for its hot springs and as the birthplace of the famous Japanese author, Hideaki Anno. The city is also home to Matsuyama Castle, one of the twelve original castles of Japan, and Dogo Onsen, one of Japan's oldest and most famous hot springs.
