Tsu is a small city in the Mie Prefecture of Japan, located on the Kii Peninsula. Tsu has a population of just over 200,000 and is the second most populous city in the prefecture, after the capital of Matsusaka. Tsu is most famous for its production of sake, with over 90% of all sake brewed in Japan coming from Tsu. The city is also home to a large number of temples and shrines, including the famous Ise Jingu, the most important Shinto shrine in Japan. Tsu also has a large and well-preserved castle, which is open to the public.
