Jalalabat

Jalalabat is a small city in the Jalal-Abad Province of Kyrgyzstan. It is located on the southern shore of the Syr Darya River. The city has a population of about 190,000. It is the administrative center of the Jalal-Abad Province.

The city is home to the Jalal-Abad State University. There are also several colleges in Jalalabat. The city has a number of hospitals, including the Jalal-Abad Regional Hospital.

Jalalabat is a center of agriculture in Kyrgyzstan. The city has a large number of greenhouses, where a variety of fruits and vegetables are grown. The city is also home to a large cotton mill.
