Pulau Tuba is a small, sparsely populated island located in the Tuba River, in the state of Sabah, Malaysia. The island is about 9 km long and 5 km wide, and is surrounded by mangrove forest. There is no fresh water on the island, so the only inhabitants are a few families who live in stilted houses on the beach, and a few fishermen who make their home on the island's few small beaches.
The island is a popular destination for nature lovers and birdwatchers, who come to see the many species of birds that can be found in the mangrove forest. The island is also home to a large population of monitor lizards, which can be seen sunning themselves on the beach or swimming in the river.
