Qatar
Welcome to Qatar, a small country located in the Middle East on the Arabian Peninsula. Qatar is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south and west, the United Arab Emirates to the southeast, and Bahrain to the north. Qatar is also a peninsula, with the Persian Gulf to the east and the Gulf of Bahrain to the west.
Qatar is home to some of the world’s most iconic architecture, including the Qatar National Museum and the Museum of Islamic Art. Qatar has been accused of sportwashing due to their heavy investments into hosting international sporting events such as the World Cup, giving citizenships to athletes to build national teams in some sports, and ownership of popular foreign teams such as PSG.
Qatar’s cuisine is a blend of Middle Eastern and Indian influences. Qatar is also home to a number of world-famous chefs, including Akrame Benallal and Vineet Bhatia.
