Solomon Islands

The Solomon Islands is an archipelago of hundreds of islands in the South Pacific Ocean. The Solomon Islands are east of Papua New Guinea, north of Vanuatu, and northeast of Australia.

People visit the Solomon Islands to relax on the beaches or go diving and snorkeling in the clear waters., and to explore the rainforests and see rare birds and animals. It's a place of sandy beaches, rainforests, and coral reefs. There are more than 1000 different types of sea creatures in the waters around the Solomon Islands, and the island of Choiseul is home to the world’s smallest bird, the male pygmy honeyeater.

The Solomon Islands are also known for their food. Some popular dishes include: Chicken and rice, Fish and coconut milk, Green papaya salad, and Taro root and yam soup.
