Razgrad is a small city in northeastern Bulgaria, in the historical region of Ludogorie. It is the administrative center of the homonymous Razgrad Province. Razgrad is known for its many mosques and its Ottoman architecture.

The city is first mentioned in Ottoman documents from the 15th century as a small village. In the 18th century, Razgrad became an important center of the Ottoman government in the region. Many mosques and other Ottoman-era buildings were constructed in the city at that time. Razgrad's importance as a center of Ottoman government declined in the 19th century, but the city continued to grow, reaching its current size in the 1960s.

Razgrad is home to a large Muslim population, and the city's mosques are an important part of the city's cultural life. The city's most famous mosque is the Banya Bashi Mosque, which was built in the 16th century. Razgrad's other mosques include the Dzhumaya
