Cúcuta is a city in northeastern Colombia, near the border with Venezuela. It's the capital of Norte de Santander Department.

The city is home to a large number of refugees from Venezuela, and there is much economic and social tension as a result.

There are some interesting colonial-era churches and buildings, and a few good museums.

The city is also a major transportation hub, with connections to all parts of Colombia.
