Montería is a city in the north-western part of Colombia, in the department of Córdoba. The city lies on the banks of the Sinú River. It is the most important commercial center and the most important producer of rice in the country. The city also has a large cattle and pork industry. Montería is also an important tourist center, with many hotels and restaurants. The city is served by Matecaña International Airport.
