Amusement Park in Denmark

Legoland

Denmark's first LEGO theme park spans 45 acres with 50+ rides across 11 zones, including a Miniland with 80 million LEGO bricks forming landmarks from Copenhagen to Rome.

At Legoland Billund, Denmark's first LEGO theme park, you can pilot a helicopter at the Froghopper ride, steer a submarine through underwater caves at Atlantis by SEA LIFE, or walk among detailed LEGO replicas of the Acropolis and Times Square. The 45-acre park contains more than 50 rides across 11 themed zones, making it the largest family destination outside Copenhagen.

Rides and Adventures

Race through the air on the Flying Eagle rollercoaster, reaching speeds that will make your heart race. At LEGO NINJAGO The Ride, your hand movements control fireballs and lightning bolts as you battle enemies on screen. Dare to enter Ghost - The Haunted House, where moving floors and sudden surprises await. Speed demons can test their racing skills at X-treme Racers, while the LEGOTOP tower lifts you 50 meters up for views across the entire park.

Themed Worlds

Walk through Miniland to see famous landmarks built from LEGO bricks - from Copenhagen's Nyhavn to Rome's Colosseum. Young children can explore DUPLO Land's soft play areas and gentle carousel rides. Navigate through pirate-infested waters in Pirate Land's boat ride, or brave the cold in Polar Land's penguin-themed coaster. In Knight's Kingdom, a 15-meter-tall castle houses medieval-themed rides and a dragon-themed roller coaster.

Planning Your Visit

The park opens from March to December, with shorter hours in autumn. Wait times are shortest on weekdays outside school holidays. One-day and two-day tickets are available - the two-day option lets you visit any two days within six days. Arrive at opening time (typically 10 AM) to experience popular rides with minimal waiting.

Getting to Legoland

Located next to Billund Airport, you can reach the park by taxi (3 minutes) or bus (8 minutes) from the terminal. From Copenhagen, take a train to Vejle station followed by a 45-minute bus ride to the park. The total journey from Copenhagen takes about 3 hours each way.

Special Events and Seasonal Activities

Halloween brings spooky decorations and themed shows throughout October. During Christmas season (mid-November to December), indoor activities include snowball fights in designated areas, a 100-meter toboggan run, and ice skating. A 10-meter LEGO DUPLO Christmas tree stands in the center, while market stalls sell Danish Christmas treats like æbleskiver (traditional pancake puffs) and gløgg (mulled wine).

LEGO Building and Trading

Stop by any shop with a Minifigure Trading sign to swap your LEGO figures with staff members. The Big Shop sells LEGO bricks by weight and park-exclusive sets. Throughout the park, 80 million LEGO bricks form interactive displays - try pressing buttons near the Miniland exhibits to make boats move or buildings light up.
