Lolland is a large island in the south-east of Denmark. It's connected to Zealand by the 8 km-long bridge, Storebæltsbroen, and to Falster by the 9 km-long bridge, Guldborgsundbroen. The island has a population of around 92,000 and an area of 1,247 km². The island is mostly rural, with a few small towns and villages. The largest town is Nakskov, with a population of around 12,000. Other towns and villages include Maribo, Nykøbing Falster, Rødby, and Sakskøbing. Lolland is a popular tourist destination, with its beaches, forests, and small villages. The island is also known for its many windmills, which are a popular tourist attraction.
