Igualada is a small town in the province of Barcelona, in the autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. It is known for its textile industry, and is the birthplace of the fashion designer Oscar de la Renta.
The old town of Igualada is situated on the hill of the same name, on the left bank of the river Anoia. It is surrounded by the modern town, which has spread out over the valley and the slopes of the hill.
