Llívia is a small town in the Pyrenees, astride the Spanish-French border. It’s an unusual place, officially Spanish but with a distinct Catalan culture and language. The old town is a maze of narrow streets and alleyways, and the houses are a mix of stone and wood. There are a few churches and other interesting buildings, but the main attraction is the wonderful location, nestled in the foothills of the mountains and surrounded by forests. Llívia is a popular spot for hikers and mountain bikers, and there are some great trails in the area. There are also a few ski resorts nearby.
