Majorca is one of the Balearic Islands, located in the Mediterranean Sea off the east coast of Spain.
The largest of the Balearics, Majorca is about the size of Rhode Island and has a population of over 800,000. With its dramatic mountain ranges, secluded coves and sheltered bays, Majorca is unsurprisingly a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors from all over the world. The island’s capital, Palma, is a vibrant city with a colourful old town, while the resorts of Magaluf and Palma Nova are well known for their nightlife and beaches. Away from the resorts, Majorca offers plenty of opportunity for exploration, from the mountain villages of the interior to the stunning coastal scenery of the north.
