Kendal is a charming market town in the English Lake District, best known for its association with the Kendal Mint Cake. The town is a popular base for hikers and climbers, with easy access to the Lake District National Park. Kendal is also home to the Brewery Arts Centre, a major cultural venue which hosts theatre, music and art events. The town centre is full of historic buildings, including the 12th-century Kendal Castle, and the traditional market square is a great place to people watch.
