Slough is an unlikely place for a day out, but it’s got a surprising amount to offer. If you’re into art, the town has a couple of great galleries, including the Slough Museum and the Swinley Forest Gallery. There are also some good parks, including Upton Court Park and Langley Park, and plenty of restaurants and pubs. And if you’re a fan of history, Slough has plenty of that too – from the ruins of the 12th-century Slough Castle to the 16th-century Slough Grammar School.
