Kupang is the capital of East Nusa Tenggara province in Indonesia. It is located on the island of Timor, in the eastern part of the Lesser Sunda Islands. The city has a population of around 366,000 and is the most important city in the region. Kupang is a regional center for trade, services, and transportation. The city is also the home of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kupang.
