Carmiel is a small city in the north of Israel, located in the heart of the Galilee region. It's known for its large population of immigrants from the former Soviet Union, as well as for its large Arab minority. The city is home to a large number of artists and art galleries, and its annual arts festival is one of the largest in Israel.
