Kurume

Kurume is a small city located in the Fukuoka Prefecture on the island of Kyushu in southern Japan. The city is best known for its traditional handmade textiles, which are produced using a unique technique that has been passed down for centuries. Visitors can watch the craftsmen at work in the textile factories, and there are also a number of stores and markets where you can buy souvenirs. Kurume is also home to a large number of temples and shrines, including the Kurume Kanko Shrine, which is dedicated to the god of travel. There are a number of festivals and events held in the city throughout the year, and the food is also worth trying, especially the local dish, Kurume-Udon.
