Aguascalientes is a city in central Mexico. It's known for its baroque architecture and for being the birthplace of Mexican muralism. The Templo Expiatorio, a grand neo-gothic church, is the city’s main landmark. The Museo de Arte de Aguascalientes features works by Mexican artists, including Diego Rivera. The Centro Cultural Universitario has a library, art galleries and a planetarium. The city is also home to the Museo Regional de Aguascalientes, which has displays on the area’s history and culture. Aguascalientes is the capital of the state of Aguascalientes.
