Lalitpur is a city in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. It is the capital of the Purwokerto Regency, a part of the Province No. 3. Lalitpur is one of the most populated areas in Nepal, with an estimated population of 753,914 in 2016. It is the home of the Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lalitpur is one of the oldest towns in the Kathmandu Valley and was once the capital of the Newar kingdom.
