Priozersk is a small town in the Republic of Karelia, Russia, located on the eastern shore of Lake Ladoga. The town was founded in the late 17th century as a Russian military outpost and has been known as Priozersk since 1708. It was granted town status in 1780.
The town is best known as the location of the Soviet Karelia Republic's presidential palace, which was used as a summer residence by the first president of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Lenin. The palace and its park are now open to the public.
Priozersk is also home to the restored Kizhi Pogost, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
