The Pozhalostin Art Museum contains 12,000 works of Russian and Western European art from the 15th to 20th centuries. At the Museum of Long-Range Aviation in Dyagilevo air base, you can see military aircraft and equipment from the Soviet era to present day. Travel 40 kilometers to Konstantinovo to visit Sergei Yesenin's childhood home and see the landscapes that inspired his poetry. The red-brick Gothic buildings of Starozhilovsky Stud Farm, designed by architect Fyodor Shekhtel in the 1890s, are 30 kilometers from the city. At the Oka Nature Reserve, 120 kilometers away, you can see all native Russian crane species in their natural habitat.
