Sovetsk is a small town in the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia, located on the banks of the Pregel River. It was founded in 1951 as a settlement for workers of the local paper mill, and was granted town status in 1957. The town is home to the Sovetsk Paper Mill, the largest paper mill in Russia.
The town is home to a small number of historic buildings, including the 18th-century Sovetsk Palace and the 19th-century Orthodox church of the Holy Trinity. The town also has a number of parks, including the Sovetsk Park of Culture and Rest and the Victory Park.
