Kosovo

Kosovo is a landlocked country in the Balkans. It is bordered by Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. Kosovo is a potential candidate for membership in the European Union and has been a member of the United Nations since 2008.

Kosovo is a beautiful country with many interesting places to visit. Pristina, the capital, is a lively city with great nightlife. The countryside is perfect for hiking and there are many beautiful mountain lakes to enjoy.

The cuisine is a mix of Albanian, Turkish and Serbian influences. Try the national dish, qofte me kunguj, which are fried meatballs served with a creamy sauce. For something sweet, try baklava, a layered pastry filled with nuts and honey.
