Zambia
Zambia is a landlocked country located in southern Africa and is bordered by eight other countries: Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.
Zambia is a land of great natural beauty and diversity, with plenty of opportunities for adventure. The Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World, is located in Zambia. The falls are 1.7 kilometers wide and 108 meters high, making them the largest sheet of falling water in the world. Zambia is also home to some of the oldest and largest national parks in Africa, including the South Luangwa National Park and the Lower Zambezi National Park. These parks are teeming with wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, and rhinos. For active travelers, the Zambezi River is the fourth-longest river in Africa and provides opportunities for rafting, canoeing, and fishing.
Zambia's cuisine offers a fusion of African, European, and Asian influences. Common dishes include nshima (a maize porridge), relishes made with vegetables or beans, and grilled or roasted meats.
