Miramar lies 450 km south of Buenos Aires on Argentina's Atlantic coast. You can swim in the calm waters of its 12-kilometer beach, take surfing lessons at the northern beach school, walk through the dense canopy of the Enchanted Forest, or spot local birds at the ecological reserve's observation station.

Beaches and Swimming

The 12-kilometer beach has light yellow sand without shells or stones. Water depth varies along the coastline - swim in the shallow southern and central sections with children, or head to the deeper northern waters for surfing. The northern beach surfing school runs daily lessons and equipment rentals from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Natural Areas

Walking trails wind through the Vivero Dunícola Florentino Ameghino's 5.02 square kilometers of woodland. Trees create cool spots during summer afternoons. South of the main beach, the Médano Blanco (White Dune) rises 30 meters above the surrounding dunes. In the Enchanted Forest, also known as the Energic Forest, sections of dense tree canopy block out sunlight completely.

Sports and Recreation

Play a round at the Miramar Golf Course's 18 holes. The Autodromo Roberto Hirch has a 1.7-kilometer racing circuit open for track days and competitions. Book scenic flights over the coastline and dunes at the Aero Club, with 15, 30, and 45-minute flight options available.

Getting There and Around

Buses run from Buenos Aires Retiro terminal to Miramar (5-hour journey) through Plusmar, Micromar, and Turismo Parque companies. Take trains from Buenos Aires's Constitución station to Miramar Station on Avenida 40. Walk to most attractions within town, or use local remis (taxis). Rent bicycles from hotels and travel agencies, with daily rates starting at 1000 pesos.
