Shenyang, in northeast China, is an old city with a rich history. The city is home to the Mukden Palace, the former imperial palace of the Qing Dynasty, and the Dazheng Buddhist Temple, one of the largest and oldest Buddhist temples in China. Shenyang is also a major industrial center, with a large number of factories and heavy industry. Despite its modernity, the city retains much of its traditional character, and there are many traditional Chinese temples and gardens in the city. Shenyang is also home to a large Korean population, and the city has a large number of Korean restaurants and businesses.
