Just west of Latchi is the Akamas Peninsula, Cyprus's only registered nature reserve. This protected area covers about 230 square kilometers of undeveloped land. You can explore its landscapes, sea cliffs, and valleys on foot or by renting a quad bike. The park is home to many plant and animal species, including some that are rare and endemic to Cyprus. Popular spots in the park include the Avakas Gorge and the Baths of Aphrodite.
