Zugspitze is a mountain located in the Bavarian Alps, straddling the Austrian-German border. At 2,962 meters, it is Germany’s highest peak and the perfect place to indulge in some serious outdoors activities. Take the cable car from Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the most direct route up the mountain, or choose one of the many hiking trails that wind around its base.
