Tipaza is a sleepy town on the Mediterranean coast of Algeria, about an hour’s drive west of Algiers. It’s a popular spot for Algerians to escape the heat of the capital in the summer, and the town’s wide, sandy beach is always busy with people swimming, sunbathing and playing football.
