Parque Nacional Sumaco Napo-Galeras

Sumaco Napo-Galeras National Park is a Unesco World Heritage Site and the most biologically diverse park in Ecuador. The park is located in the Ecuadorian Amazon and is home to over 1,500 species of animals, including jaguars, tapirs and harpy eagles. There are also over 3,000 species of plants, including orchids and bromeliads. The park is also home to the Quichua people, who have lived in the area for centuries. Visitors can hike through the rainforest, canoe down the Napo River or visit the Quichua villages.
