I ended up in Port d'Andratx in a very random way. Me and my colleagues were pretty exhausted after an incredibly intense period at work, so we decided to get away for a bit. We started looking for places in Europe that were reasonably warm in April, and the island of Mallorca became our top pick. Then we started looking for cool places to stay on Airbnb and found a perfectly sized villa with a big terrace towards the ocean just outside the village of Port d'Andratx.

I had very low hopes for Port d'Andratx itself as my very quick restaurant research on Google Maps showed just a few restaurants that seemed very touristy, and we knew nothing about the village itself.

I was pleasantly surprised to arrive in a very cute village by the ocean with lots of great restaurants, ice cream shops, and bars. I really enjoyed going for a run around the harbour filled with nice boats, and our local supermarket had amazing hams, fruits and vegetables which made breakfast something to look forward to every single day.

My favorite restaurant was Coppola, and Gelateria Capri had really really good ice cream. Port d'Andratx also worked out nicely as a home base to explore vineyards in the countryside and the city of Palma. Port d'Andratx was a great surprise, and I would be happy to go back at some point.
