Nanterre is a small city on the outskirts of Paris that is best known as the home of the University of Paris-Ouest Nanterre La Défense. The university is one of the largest in France and is known for its law and business programs. The city is also home to a number of other institutions of higher learning, including the École Polytechnique, the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, and the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris.
