Pyrénées National Park is a spectacularly beautiful mountain range in southwest France, straddling the border with Spain. The park is a Unesco World Heritage Site, and with good reason: the mountains are some of the most dramatic in Europe, with soaring peaks, plunging valleys and rushing rivers. The park is also home to a wealth of wildlife, including bears, wolves, eagles and ibex. There are plenty of hiking trails to explore, and the villages in the park are a delight, with traditional stone houses and narrow streets.
