Yokosuka is a naval port located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The city is best known for being the home of the United States Seventh Fleet and the United States Naval Forces Japan. Yokosuka is also home to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. As of June 2012, the city has an estimated population of 418,651 and a population density of 3,140 persons per km². The total area is 132.30 km². Yokosuka is the second largest city in the Keihin region.
