Sandnes is a small city located in the county of Rogaland in southwestern Norway. It is a suburb of the larger city of Stavanger and is situated on the eastern bank of the river Jøra. Sandnes is best known for its many green areas and its textile industry. The city is home to a botanical garden, a sculpture park, and a number of museums, including the Sandnes Museum, which is dedicated to the city's textile history. Sandnes is also home to a large number of shopping malls and a number of breweries, including the Ringnes Brewery, which is the largest brewery in Norway.
