Reșița is a city in western Romania and the capital of Caraș-Severin County. It is situated on the Jiul de Vest River, in the historical region of Banat. Reșița is the most important industrial center in Romania, and is home to the country's largest steel mill. The city also has a large thermal power plant, a chemical plant, and a large oil refinery.
