Romania
Romania is a country located in southeastern Europe. It is bordered by the Black Sea, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Hungary, Serbia, and Moldova. The capital and largest city is Bucharest. The official language of Romania is Romanian. Romanian is a Romance language, and is closely related to Italian, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Romania has a diverse landscape, including mountains, forests, and beaches. The Carpathian Mountains, which run through the center of the country, are the largest mountain range in Romania. Some of the most popular tourist attractions include the Palace of Parliament, the Romanian Athenaeum, and the Old Town of Bucharest. Romania is also home to some of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe, such as Sighisoara and Brasov.
Romanian cuisine is a mix of Balkan and Mediterranean flavours. Some of the most popular dishes include sarmale (stuffed cabbage leaves), ciorba (soup), and mititei (grilled ground meat sausages).
