Sremska Mitrovica is a historic city in Vojvodina, Serbia. It is located on the right bank of the Sava River, opposite the city of Belgrade. Sremska Mitrovica is the administrative center of the Srem District. The city is home to many important cultural and historical monuments, such as the Cathedral of St. Sava, the Banat Fortress, and the remains of the Roman city of Singidunum.
