Kherson

Kherson is a port city on the Dnieper River in southern Ukraine. It’s known for its beaches, nightlife and historical monuments, including the ruins of a Genoese fortress and a cathedral founded in 1778. The 18th-century Khersones Tavrichesky National Reserve, on the outskirts of the city, preserves archaeological sites from the ancient Greek colony of Chersonesus.
