Khmelnytskyi is a city located in the western part of Ukraine, on the banks of the Southern Bug River. It is the administrative center of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast (province) and the Khmelnytskyi Raion (district). The city is the sixth largest in Ukraine. Population: 295,764 (2013 est.)
Khmelnytskyi is an important transportation hub. The city is served by the Khmelnytskyi International Airport and by the railway station Khmelnytskyi railway station.
The city has a number of cultural institutions, including the Khmelnytskyi Regional Museum, the Khmelnytskyi National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, and the Khmelnytskyi Philharmonic.
