Saint Joseph is a historic city in the US state of Missouri. It was founded in 1776 by Spanish explorers and was later acquired by the United States as part of the Louisiana Purchase. The city is known for its rich history, including its role in the American Civil War, and for its many cultural attractions, including the Jesse James Home Museum and the National Churchill Museum. Saint Joseph is also home to the world’s largest outdoor statue of the Virgin Mary, known as the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snow.
