Eupen

Eupen is a charming small town in the eastern Belgian province of Liège, close to the borders with Germany and the Netherlands. It’s an attractive place to wander, with a lively main square, a couple of interesting churches and a sprinkling of half-timbered houses. The area is also known for its forests and hills, which make for great hiking and cycling. Eupen is also home to a number of interesting museums, including the Musée des Moulins (Museum of Mills) and the Musée du Pays de Liège (Museum of the Liège Region), as well as a lively arts and crafts scene. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in town, and the locals are friendly and welcoming.
