Český ráj, or “Czech Paradise”, is a picturesque region in the north-east of the Czech Republic, known for its dramatic sandstone formations, rolling hills and dense forests. The area is a popular destination for hikers and cyclists, who can explore the many trails that wind through the forests and hills. There are also a number of castles and other historical sites to visit, including the ruined castle of Trosky and the pilgrimage church of Svatá Hora. Český ráj is also home to some of the best Czech beer, so be sure to visit one of the local microbreweries.
